Joy can’t replace true happiness
Joy comes and goes like a rushing wave
Joy lies to you
Joy tells you you’re happy, but it’s just a moment that will pass
Joy runs on its own time
Joy can seep out like a slow leaking tire or pass so fast.

Lacking the motivation to be happy
Relying on that line of Joy
High off the hit
I mimic happy floating on my nimbus cloud. Until the high is released
Now, I’m falling back to the reality that my happiness is unattainable.

Is it sad?
Maybe.
