Robert- *Breathing heavily as the phone continues to ring*

Vanessa- *Picks up other end* Hey Rob what up?

Robert- *Calms his breathing* Hey Vanessa. What are you up to?

Vanessa- Nothing much just chilling in the crib. Tryna figure out what I’m going to eat, I’m a little hungry.

Robert- Crazy I’m hungry too. We should meet up and grab something to eat. A lot of restaurants have outside seating right now.

Vanessa- Yeah we can do that. I’ve been craving a burger and fries. Don’t judge me.

Robert- *Laughs* No Judgement over here. I like to eat whole boxes of pizza every week. 

Vanessa- *laughs* See I love pizza but not enough to eat a whole box and as often. 

Robert- So you really don’t love pizza then huh? 

Vanessa- *Laughs* Shut up yeah I do. Any way where we going?

Robert- I’ll text you the address. See you there.

Vanessa- Ok see you.

(At the table of an outside restaurant, which is located right near the water.)

Damn Rob this is nice. How did you find out about this place?

Robert- Oh my homie google told me. He gave it a great rating.

Vanessa- *Smirks* You are so corny.

Robert-  *Laughs* But you laughed though. 

Vanessa- *Laughs* Because it’s so corny I couldn’t help but to laugh.

Robert- But Vanessa I have something to get off my chest.

Vanessa- *Concern look* What is it?

Robert- Well as you already know I’m in love with you. Just recently that became a problem.

Vanessa- What kind of problem?

Robert- Like I can’t get you off my mind kind of problem. It’s only a problem because I was thinking about you while I was with someone else.

Vanessa- *Shocked look came across her face* Wow that is a problem.

Robert- Yeah, but the thing that I don’t understand is how did I fall in love with someone who doesn’t even feel a smidgen of what I feel? And don’t get me wrong, it’s not an issue with you. It’s just this my second time ever falling in love and it’s with someone that’s not feeling me like that. To top it off this person has this control over me that she doesn’t know she has. Vanessa all those years ago unbeknownst to you I gave you a piece of me that I need to get back. Only way to do that is if you answer this next question as honestly as possible. 

Vanessa- *look of worry* What’s The question?

Robert- *Takes a deep breath* Would you and I ever be together?

Vanessa- *Surprise look came across her face* To be honest no. I’m sorry if that’s not what you wanted to hear.

Robert – It’s not, but I already knew you were going to say that. I just needed to hear it out your mouth.

Vanessa- Where do we go from here?

Robert – *Confused look* We order and eat our food and enjoy each other’s company, and then go get ice cream.

Vanessa- *Annoyed* No stupid I mean our friendship. You still want to be cool with me?

Robert- *Confused look* Um yeah. I knew how you felt all these years. It doesn’t change anything with us. I just hope this kind of calms my thoughts down about you. Maybe I can go on and have a successful relationship without comparing every girl to you. Remember I told you I want you in my life forever even as just friends. 

Vanessa- *Smiles* I am glad that we can continue as friends. It would suck if you weren’t in my life. Don’t worry you’ll find some.. 

Robert-*Interrupts Vanessa* Nope too soon. Let’s order, I am starving.

Vanessa- *Smiles and shakes her head* I’m sorry won’t happen again. And you know what I  want.

Robert-*Mocking Vanessa’s voice* Burger and fries

Vanessa- *Laughs* Stop Mr. Eat a whole box of pizza every week

Robert- *Smiles* That was a blatant low blow.

*They both laughed as they looked at the menu*
